How to deal with shyness

Shyness is a problem faced by many people, but most often it is underestimated by the environment. Unfortunately, it is an ailment that can make life difficult for us, so we have to fight it.
If we decide to work on our own shyness, we have to be consistent. We have to be focused on confronting the factors that usually make us feel intimidated. Just admitting that we have a problem and identifying the situation and the people among whom we become shy is a big step forward.
At the beginning, it is worth starting with simple things like a simple conversation with a neighbour, for example about the weather. This will allow us to strengthen our self-confidence, so that after some time we will stop being afraid to go to places where there are larger concentrations of people not necessarily known to us. And if we are already among people we don’t know, let’s treat it as an opportunity. We can approach someone who is also standing alone and directly say that we feel stressed by this situation, while at the same time making conversation. Such honesty breaks the first ice perfectly and will surely make us meet with the kindness of the other person.
In many cases, the real trauma for shy people are all kinds of public speaking. However, it is worth treating it not as an anguish, but another opportunity to practice your self-confidence. In this situation it is also best to be honest with the people listening to us. At the beginning, let us stress that we do not feel comfortable in this situation, but we will try to cope with this task. Certainly a lot of people in the audience also have problems with such speeches and in addition to understanding we will receive great recognition for our courage.
